Bloodcurdling books, nightmarish novels, and terrifying tomes abound.
Here at Night Terror Novels, we hope to provide fresh horror content of all forms and flavours, to cater to every taste. Whether you seek tales of ghosts or ghouls, bloodsuckers or wolfmen; from Victorian haunts to hardcore splatterpunk, genre-defying transgressive fiction and everything else in between, on this site we strive to run the gamut of all that is mysterious and macabre. Currently, we are aiming to offer you (somewhat) informative and (wholly) subjective reviews of films and novels within the genre, in addition to ghoulish list features. In the near future, we hope to grow and incorporate stories of our own.
We hope you’ll stay for a spell…

Greetings, boils and ghouls!
I’m Josh, the founder of Night Terror Novels. Welcome to our family. Make yourself good and settled, because you’re here to stay now. I hope that you’ll enjoy your time perusing our site. Before anything else, here’s a little bit about me. Don’t worry, I promise to try and keep this short and sweet.
So, I’ve been a fan of the horror genre for about as long as I can remember now. My introduction to it was pretty unremarkable, and probably came about in much the same way as it did for anyone – with the stumbling upon of that first spooky story that just begged to be read, or catching a horror movie on television and watching through your fingers, before having to flick the channel over to alleviate the growing, gnawing fear.
For me, the seeds of my passion for this genre were planted by seeing snippets from films my parents would be watching, and with catching snatches of scary scenes from the horror movies that occasionally cropped up on Film4 now and again. It was after picking up copies of Stephen King’s It and The Shining from a second-hand bookshop many years ago that my love for all things horror was truly cemented, though.
I’ve recently started working on and submitting horror fiction of my own. Hopefully with a bit of luck, and a hell of a lot of elbow grease, I’ll be able to come back to this page and amend this self-appointed tag of ‘aspiring’ author to ‘published’, and be able to share my stories with you guys. That’s the dream, anyway.
So, what exactly is this site? It’s still very early days, but ideally, it’ll end up being a number of different things. First and foremost, I hope for it to provide a new place for fellow, like-minded gore hounds to share and celebrate our love of all things ghastly and spooky. For now, you can expect a mixture of reviews of horror both read and watched, list features on various terrifying topics, and perhaps even a few stories of my own from time to time.
As I say, that’s where we’re currently at. I have some ideas of where to take the site and the brand going forward, but with one baby step at a time. If you’d like, you can stay tuned, finger on the rapidly rising pulse, for future updates by following us down below. I hope that you’ll consider joining us.
In the meantime, thanks for dropping by.
